Cancellation Policy
Therapy Services Therapy fees include: Direct therapy sessions. Session planning and preparation. Brief progress notes. Routine home practice recommendations related to therapy goals. Therapy fees do not include: Extensive individualised home programmes beyond routine recommendations. Additional written reports unless specifically agreed. Consultation with external professionals outside routine care. Review of lengthy documents not directly related to therapy sessions. Home Practice Home practice activities are provided according to the child's individual needs and clinical goals. The clinician determines the nature, amount, and frequency of home practice recommended. Providing larger quantities of activities does not necessarily improve outcomes. Families are encouraged to focus on consistent implementation of the recommended activities. Additional requests for extensive home programmes, customised activity packs, or supplementary materials may not be accommodated unless specifically agreed as a separate service. Communication Routine communication should be by email. The practice aims to respond to emails within 3–5 business days. Phone calls, text messages, and messaging applications (including WhatsApp) are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent matters. Communication should remain respectful and professional. The practice reserves the right to limit communication where concerns have been appropriately addressed and no further clinical action is required. Appointment reminders may be sent by email or SMS for administrative purposes. Clinical discussions and requests regarding reports or therapy should be communicated by email or discussed during scheduled appointments. Ending Services The clinician reserves the right to end services where: The therapeutic relationship has broken down. Professional boundaries cannot be maintained. The clinician believes services are no longer clinically appropriate. Another provider has assumed responsibility for care. Where appropriate, reasonable notice and information regarding alternative sources of support will be provided. Speech & Language Therapy Attendance and Conduct Policy 1. Cancellations and No-Shows * Please provide at least **24 hours’ notice** for cancellations or rescheduling. * Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend without notice, may result in a cancellation fee according to the clinic’s billing policy.
